Steel Jaw Kennels is a small kennel in Ann Arbor, Michigan dedicated to the preservation and progression of the true Spanish (FCI type) Dogo/Presa Canario.
Steel Jaw Kennels is under the constant observation of Dr. Susan G. Lewis D.V.M. (Its great to have a veterinarian for a mother! You get the best care ever!)
We are committed to breeding beautiful Dogo's with solid temperments! (The type of dog that can be played with by a class of 3rd graders all day and then go home and if someone unwanted comes through that door/window turn into the perfect protector.)
This breed is more than just a hobby! They are a love, a passion, and FAMILY.
That is what I look for when placing puppys!

There are not many breeders in this country unfortunately who are breeding these dogs to the true FCI type.
But there is a strong group who are, and are doing it very well!
I will give you my true opinion of a dog if you ask it.
Steel Jaw Pups
Puppys purchased from Steel Jaw Kennels will be Very well socialized! I personally spend 1-1/2-2 hours at least a day with my pups watching them play, analizing them, observing what different temperments I think will be suited for different situations, so they get lots of early contact.
It is important to me that the right dog goes to the right person! Just like you need a Husband or Wife you get along with, a dog will be around just as much! Your going to want the right match!
